Brothers Film Studios
I worked as a film set carpenter, prop maker, painter and
various jobs in the Art department at Warner Bros Film Studios.
Working on many Australian and American blockbuster films, produced
on the Gold Coast. This was a creative and very high pressure
industry, that gave me invaluable design experience and skill
sets to which I draw on today.
I
was working in Brisbane as a web/graphic designer & developer
until 2003, before relocating to the Sunshine Coast.
I am presently networking my web design skills on a freelance-contract
basis out to local and national Companies and Clients. I
can if required, work efficiently from a complete home design
studio, ensuring a high level of integrity in the work I perform.
Until present work has been typically via contractual agreement
or on negotiated hourly rate on payroll based on my experience.
I
have worked consistently and to a very high level as a leading
graphic designer and mid-level Asp(E-commerce applications)
developer on each website project, producing an effective, easy
to navigate website for all my clients.
I
have graphically designed website interfaces, logo's, business
cards, page backgrounds, banner ads, brochures, roter-image
banners, animate with JavaScript and or Flash. I provide a consistent
theme and symbolically harmonise with colour from the colour
wheel.
More
technical work includes developing site applications
in ASP code. My ability to understand these code components
and the properties and methods involved with web development
has enabled me to create online ASP applications: search engine,
auction site, classifieds, mailing list, enquiry forms with
full VB-script or JavaScript error validation, auto-responders,
domain name availability checker programs and e-commerce shopping
carts.
I
code using mainly pre-written components in languages, ASP,
Html, DHTML, JavaScript, VB script as well Perl Cgi scripting.
I always provide an easy to navigate and browser compatible
platform for a website to ensure visitors navigate a site with
ease.
Database
Development:
Setup of access database, selecting and retrieving information,
updating member information to database and distributing data
to email addresses. An example of my most recent pride and joy

- Online Tech & Multimedia Sales
I completely designed this site over the duration of 8 weeks
and although the database is still only 80% populated, the concept
of offering closer to wholesale prices, I feel will serve a
practical online solution for the home shopper.
