Why did I decide to become a designer?
I have a natural flair and passion for creating visual mediums that portray
or express an intended meaning, be it through the creation of physical
or symbolic elements that are designed to specifically`catch the eye of
an onlooker. I see myself as the nectar, or the substance, set for attracting
the bees to pollinate the flower. Once the bees are attracted, suffice
to say, the flower or website resinates, reaching its greater potential
and producing the much desired honey or success!
After investing in both Macromedia and Adobe web authoring software packages.
I set the task for myself to learn and become a master of web site design.
In particular, I have always wanted to become a leading Australian web
interface designer. To create essentially, the "look and feel of
a website". This is what I have felt is my most suited role in the
production process.
If you had to choose one aspect you like most about designing websites,
what would it be?
Without question, Interface design, site template design and the design
of impactful images. The 'look and feel' web designer is my desired role.
What is your most valuable asset and how could my business benefit
from this asset?
I feel my most valueable asset is my ability to create from client concept
or written brief, the design of the website template and site navigation.
My design skill, coupled with 5 years direct experience, enables me to
express a message symbolically through use of visually impactful imagery.
When designed effectively, this will entice more visitor click through
and in turn offer greater success. They say, the first 5 seconds after
first seeing something, in this case a homepage, is where the chemistry
for `attraction or `no attraction is subconsciously decided by the onlooker.
So, without question is a distinct advantage to a website.
What styles of design do you feel most comfortable with? Eg: corporate,
personal, futuristic, flashy, hip, clean, etc
I actually feel comfortable with all style of site design. In fact, if
each job was designed for a particular style, the happier I would be.
I really do enjoy taking a different approach and making the most of it.
I am flexible and able to brand a design
for each industry identity.
